Get to know more about lauren crow

Lauren has served in numerous ministry roles over the past 20 years and most currently serves as the Disability Director at her local church, First Mansfield, and as a Regional Disability Specialist for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. She is also a leader in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors, adept at cultivating global organizational capability for meaningful strategic initiatives.

Lauren and her husband Brock have three children together. As a mother to a son with level 3 autism, and a special-needs sibling to a brother with spina bifida, Lauren has lifelong experience in the disability community. Together with her husband, they are dedicated to extending hospitality to their local community, demonstrating the love of Jesus to caregiving parents in need of respite.

Session 4

Session 1
The primary focus of this session is to share the biblical and practical ways a church can prepare to meet the needs of families with disabilities.

Session 2
The primary focus of this session is reviewing common challenges students with invisible disabilities encounter and best-practiced solutions.

Session 3
The primary focus of this session is to learn how to help students with disabilities understand the lesson, feel comfortable in the environment, and be able to participate in the activities. We will discuss the role of a buddy, what supports buddies should have available, what a buddy needs to be successful, behavior basics, and how to communicate with parents.
